Changi International Airport
Changi Airport is recognised as one of the best airports in the world and has become a major aviation hub in the Asia Pacific region. The airport is a 20-minute drive from Fairmont Singapore.

Driving Directions

Airport Shuttle
The shuttle service travels to and from any hotel in Singapore and anywhere within the central business district (excluding Changi Village hotel and hotels on Sentosa Island). Bookings can be made at the counters in the Arrival Hall. The fare will be collected at the counter in cash.

SGD 7.00 - Adult
SGD 5.00 - Child
Other Destinations - SGD 35.00 to book whole MaxiCab

Schedule:
Leaves every 30 minutes from 0600 to 1800 hours.
Leaves every 15 minutes from 1815 to Midnight.
Leaves every 30 minutes from 0030 to 0600 hours.

Taxis from the Airport
Taxis can be found at the taxi stands at the Arrival Hall. They are available 24 hours daily and can go to any destination. A surcharge may be applicable on major expressways within the central business district during peak hours.

Travel Fare: Approx. SGD 16.00 - 24.00 (excluding surcharges)
Midnight surcharge: 50% of metered fare (midnight - 6:00 am)
Airport surcharge: SGD 5.00 Friday to Sunday (5:00 pm to midnight), SGD 3.00 all other times

Limousines from the Airport
Mercedes Taxis or London Cabs are available at the Limousine Service Counter at the Arrival Hall. This service is available for 24 hours daily, and brings you to any destination in Singapore at a flat rate.

Travel Fare: SGD 35.00 (flat rate)
A surcharge of SGD 10.00 is applied for each extra stop en route to the final destination.

Buses from the Airport
Bus services are also available to parts of the island. Bus terminals are located at the basement of Terminals 1 and 2. Information on bus services is available near the bus stands. Please prepare the exact fare for buses, as no change will be given. You can obtain change from the Money Changers in the Arrival Halls of both terminals.

Operating Hours: Daily - 6:00 am to midnight
Note: Bus No 36 which goes to the city, ends at 12:00 midnight

MRT from the Airport
The MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) station is located in Terminal 2 and is also accessible via the Skytrain from Terminal 1. It takes about 27 minutes to reach the city. You would have to switch trains at EW4 - Tanah Merah MRT Station to get downtown.

Travel Fare: Approx. SGD 2.00 (Not inclusive of SGD 1 refundable deposit for single trip ticket)
Frequency: Every 12 minutes

5:31 am - 11:18 pm (Monday to Saturday)
5:59 am - 11:18 pm (Sunday / Public Holiday)

From MRT / Bus Stop to the Hotel:
City Hall MRT station is located at Raffles City complex. It is conveniently connected to the shopping and convention facilities which are attached to Fairmont Singapore. From City Hall MRT station enter Raffles City complex and follow the signs for Fairmont Singapore.

Car Rentals from the Airport
Car rental counters are located at the Ground Transport Centre in the Arrival Halls of both terminals. To cater for the ERP (Electronic Road Pricing) in Singapore, you will need to purchase a cash card from the car rental company if you do not already have one.

Public Transport in Singapore
Singapore offers a very efficient public transportation system. The network of buses, MRT trains, and taxis means that getting around the city is easy and affordable.

MRT
In Singapore, the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) is a modern, air-conditioned passenger train service with stations all over the island. Its three main lines are:

Frequency: Every 2.5 minutes to 8 minutes from 0530 hours until 0030 hours daily.
Check at respective MRT stations for precise train arrival / departure timings.

Fares: Dependent on the distance traveled. From SGD 0.80 to a maximum of SGD 1.70.
Travelers may choose to use the ez-link card instead of using cash. The card may be bought or revalued at any TransitLink Ticket Sales Office located in most MRT stations and bus interchanges. Each adult card is sold with a minimum value of SGD 10 plus a deposit fee of SGD 5.

Bus
Buses run throughout the city to various parts of the island.

Operating hours: From 0600 hours to 0000 hours. Check at respective bus interchanges or bus stops for precise bus arrival / departure timings.

Air-conditioned buses - SGD 0.80 to SGD 1.70

Note: There is a peak hour surcharge of SGD 2.00 from Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 9:30 am and Monday to Saturday 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. There is also a midnight surcharge of an additional 10-50% of the basic fare depending on the time. Please click here for more information.
