Region VII Arabian Horse Show
Enjoy the beauty and grace of the Arabian horse, a breed known for its intelligence, high spirit and outstanding stamina. The Arabian is one of the most recognizable and oldest horse breeds in the world. The show is held every April at WestWorld (this year -- April 22 - April 27, 2008). Admission is free.

Barrett Jackson Classic Car Auction
Referred to as the "World's Greatest Collector Car Event," the Barrett-Jackson Classic Car Auction is the event to buy, sell and simply admire the finest quality automobiles. Located two miles west of Fairmont Scottsdale at WestWorld, 16601 N. Pima Road, the event is recognized as one of the premier automotive lifestyle events in the world. Drawing Hollywood stars, pro athletes and other celebrities, the event includes galas, charitable events, fashion shows and an exhibit arena in an upscale atmosphere. The 37th annual auction and festivities will be held Jan. 12 - 20, 2008.

Cactus League Spring Training Baseball
Baseball fans can soak up the sun at one of several stadiums located in the greater Phoenix area - to watch the Chicago Cubs, Kansas City Royals, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Milwaukee Brewers, Oakland Athletics, San Diego Padres, San Francisco Giants, Seattle Mariners and Texas Rangers. The games are played throughout March each year.

Golf
There are three superb golf courses within close proximity of Fairmont Scottsdale. The TPC of Scottsdale is adjacent to the hotel and features the Stadium Course, which is home of the annual PGA Tour's FBR Open (formerly the Phoenix Open), and the Champions Course.
