Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth

MONTREAL INFORMATION

Montreal is Quebec's largest city and located on an island at the confluence of the St Lawrence River and the Ottawa River. One of Canada's most important cultural centers, Montreal hosts major festivals including the Montreal Comedy Festival, the Montreal Jazz Festival, and the Grand Prix. Home to the NHL's Montreal Canadiens, and the Canadian Football League's new Alouettes, Montreal is a center of sporting excellence.

Touring the Old Port and Old Montreal, you'll find much has been lovingly preserved, with the graceful stone buildings, stately churches, and cobblestone streets. With its distinctly European feel, this part of Montreal is packed with sidewalk cafes, quaint bistros, and chic restaurants. In the winter, the city is close to skiing, including popular Mont Tremblant in the Laurentian Mountains just north of the city.
