Airport Information
Quebec Airport
Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB) is used by most major international airlines. It is 20 minutes from Fairmont Le Château Frontenac.
Driving Directions
- Take a right onto Boulevard Aéroport
- Take 540 S (Boulevard Duplessis) to 175 N (Boulevard Laurier)
- Boulevard Laurier will change names to Grande Allée then rue St-Louis
- Fairmont Le Château Frontenac is at the end of rue St-Louis on the right-hand side
- Drive under the stone archway to the courtyard to be directed for valet or self parking and to drop luggage at the doors
Taxis
A taxi ride from Jean Lesage International Airport to Fairmont Le Château Frontenac or vice versa costs CAD 27.00 (flat rate). Taxis are readily available.
Limousines

Train Information
The nearest Via Rail service is in Lower Town, one kilometer (0.6 miles) from Fairmont Le Château Frontenac. A taxi between the hotel and the train station should cost around CAD 6.00.
Bus Information
The bus depot is at the same location as the train station in Lower Town.
Local Ferry
The local ferry terminal is a five-minute drive from the hotel. The ferry travels between Quebec City and Levis on the other side of the river. It operates from 6:00 am to 2:00 am, with departures every half-hour.
Hydrofoil
A hydrofoil service runs between the old ports of Quebec and Montreal in the summertime.
Cruise Ship Terminal
The cruise ship terminal is a five-minute drive from Fairmont Le Château Frontenac.
Local Transportation
The Hiver Express is a local shuttle offering service between the hotel and popular winter attractions and activities. A scenic method of transportation is the Funicular, a cable car that runs from the top of the bluff where Fairmont Le Château Frontenac is located.
Parking Information
To access the parkade, come through the archway off rue St-Louis, drive through the courtyard of Fairmont Le Château Frontenac to the street on the other side, take a hard right, and you will find the parkade entrance gate on the right.
- Self parking: CAD 24.00 for a maximum of 24 hours (including taxes)
- Valet parking: CAD 29.00 for a maximum of 24 hours (including taxes)
- Valid until 6:00 pm on day of check-out
- Both types of parking may be charged to the room and include in / out privileges
The parkade height restriction is 6' 0". You will be directed by the Doorman to appropriate parking locations if using a Winnebago or other large vehicle.

From Maine:
Total driving time is approximately 6 hours 30 minutes (from Bangor).
- From I-95, take the exit to 201 N direction Jackman / Canadian border
- After the border, it will turn into 173 N
- 173 N then turns into Hwy 73 N
- Follow Hwy 73 N direction Quebec City
- Cross Pierre Laporte Bridge, stay on your right, and take the third exit 175 N (Boulevard Laurier)
- Boulevard Laurier will change names to Grande Allée then rue St-Louis
- Fairmont Le Château Frontenac is at the end of the street on the right-hand side
- Drive under the stone archway to the courtyard to be directed for valet or self parking and to drop luggage at the doors
From New York State:
- Take I-87 N to Quebec border
- I-87 becomes 15 N in Canada
- Follow 15 N to junction of Hwy 20 E
- Take 20 E to exit 312 N (73 N, Quebec)
- Cross Pierre Laporte Bridge, stay on your right, and take the third exit 175 N (Boulevard Laurier)
- Boulevard Laurier will change names to Grande Allée then rue St-Louis
