Chicago Marathon and Half Marathon
The Chicago Marathon is often listed as one of the best courses in the world. The 26.2-mile course starts and finishes in Grant Park on Columbus Drive near Buckingham Fountain, within walking distance of the hotel, and takes place every October. The Chicago Half Marathon takes place in September each year.

Grant Park Music Festival
The Grant Park Music Festival is a free, outdoor, classical music series taking place in the summer. Performances take place at The Prizker Pavillion in Millennium Park, 1/2 block south of The Fairmont Chicago.

Chicago Jazz Festival
For over 20 years this free festival has entertained the people of Chicago with the finest local and national jazz performers. This annual festival runs Labor Day Weekend.
